The members of aqua are Rene Dif, Claus Noreen, Soren Raasted Nystrom and Lene Nystrom. All are are from Denmark exept Lene she is from Norway wher she hosted a Wheel of Fortune equivilent. Lene Was a famos dj who could break dance and rap before he met up with Claus and Sorren who were both working at a gas station. The three Claus, Sorren and Rene made a sound track (in 1989) for the Danish movie "Freakke Frida". During a an airing of Lene's tv show Rene noticed Lene and her voice and he instantly new she was the leader of Rene's band that he was forming, with Claus and Sorren. They called the group Joy speed but they had no sucsess they only made the 49 spot and were number 1 at one radio station. They wanted to start from scratch so they made there first new single in 1996 (Roses are Red) but they did'nt have a name because Joyspeed didnt fit with the music they wrote. They got a long list of names but none of them they could dicide on. Then one day Rene Was on a train comming back from a act he had to do for a radio station and he phoned them up and he said "how about Aquairium" because of a poster that says Danish Aquairium with pictures of cartoonist fish. They then realeaseg My Oh My wich was number one insantly in 1997. With the realease of Barbie girl as there third single world wide sucsess came easily. And Then they realeased there first album Aquairium which had the single Dr. Jones. The Singles in order of release 1.1996 Roses are Red 2.1997 My Oh My 3.1997 Barbie Girl 4.1997 Docter Jones 5.1997 Lollipop (US realease) 6.1998 Didd'nt I (Japenease realease) 7.1998 My Oh My (re-realease in Europe 8.1998 Turn Back Time Additinol Info Joyspeeds single was Ittsy Bittsy. They Sighned there record deal for Joyspeed with a sweedish record company. They now have a record deal with Universal Music. After Aquarium came out in the stores the voice a danish radio station sent 45 copies to diffrent US radio stations and ever scince they have had sucsess.
